Our research on digital transformation in the context of the sustainability transition examines how digital technologies promote environmental, social and economic sustainability (ESG). The focus is on ESG data management, AI-supported resource efficiency, smart energy systems, sustainable supply chains and digitally supported circular economy. A special focus is on how digital twins and automation can reduce emissions and enable sustainable business models.
