Digital Business & Data Economics
In the research area "Digital Business & Data Economics", we work on issues relating to the digital transformation of companies, with a particular focus on digital product and service innovations and their organizational anchoring. On the one hand, this involves questions of modernization of established structures, as well as the development, implementation and exploitation of innovative ideas based on previously untested business models.
A special focus is on data economics and data management. Digitization is thus understood not only as a technological transformation, but also as a new form of cultural practice in which the adept and sophisticated handling of data is one of the most important factors for success.
The research focus is directed at companies of all sizes, with a special emphasis on small and medium-sized enterprises.
